They phoned today alleging I’d used my debit card again – a typical Sherlock‑like ruse and clearly a scam.
I got a mobile call, a landline call and a text from this number claiming TSB fraud. Unsure, I phoned the official TSB phone‑bank and they confirmed the number was theirs; my debit card had been blocked after a fraudulent payment. A new card was ordered and the money refunded – pretty handy.

That number is legit – it’s the TSB anti‑fraud line. After using checkmycar.io I was hit with a £39.90 charge a few days later; the scammers are topping up the Google results. TSB spotted the fraud, blocked my card and texted me to confirm the activity with a simple Yes/No. Expect a half‑hour hold for a real rep – cheers.
After receiving texts from this number, I contacted TSB through other channels and learned it is an official line; they empathised with my concerns and advised me to hang up and call the number on my card if ever doubtful.
One fraudulent caller impersonated TSB, delivering three automated calls addressed to Mr Stanley Wilkinson – I didn’t press any keys – after two prior TSB texts; I’ve blocked the number. Recieve any further calls and ignore them.

I recived a text message advising me that my card had been blocked due to suspisous activity, and then recived a call from this number, it turned out to be a genuine call from my bank, who had stopped the fraud on my card.
After my bank card was blocked due to a suspected fraudulent transaction in Malaysia, I received a call from this number and was instructed to call another number to confirm a 3-digit code; however, the bank assured me it was their fraud team.
This is definitely a scam. Be cautious about sharing any personal details.
