This is definitely a legitimate TSB card check number and absolutely not a scam, confirmed by TSB directly after they called.
I recieved a call from a number claiming to be TSB's card check line, it was an automated voice, which requested I confirm recent purchases, if I hadn't made them, I would be transfered to the TSB card fraud team, although TSB confirmed it was a genuine number, it can be spoofed by scammers.
