Debt collector call that was very aggressive and refused to provide proper verification. Unpleasant experience.

This number, +33447987031, is being used by scammers posing as Cabot Financial, a debt collection agency. They are contacting people to demand money for debts that are either non-existent or already paid. The calls are often harassing and persistent, with many users reporting that the callers use different numbers to bypass blocks. If you receive such calls, it’s crucial to report them to the police and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Blocking the numbers is a start, but given their persistence, taking legal action or seeking advice from a solicitor might be necessary. Don’t engage with them or provide any personal information, as they could be phishing for data.

This number, 03447987031, keeps calling my son, who recognizes it as a scam. I checked your site to see if others received similar calls; it's quite harassing.
I've been called by this number before. After reading the comments about scam activities, I wonder why they're still allowed to have a phone???
Appel commercial pour des meubles. Jamais demandé, purement spam.
They persist in ringing and messaging me, addressing me as Hayley, which is incorrect. I searched for Cabot and their number is quite alike, plus there's a notice on their website acknowledging this company impersonating them. They took my number without my name and lodged a complaint with their fraud department.
This number is associated with a scamming operation
It's advisible to ignore this number, as it continously bothers people on a daily basis, a clear indication of it's malicious intent
Cabot's harassment has resumed with five calls today, four yesterday, and four on Monday. After stopping for several months following a court ruling that the alleged debt was paid 16 years ago, they’ve started again. Legal action for harassment is now underway, and it’ll be interesting when they fail to cover my costs from the previous case, as they have only a week to do so. Then, my collectors will be contacting them unexpectedly for payment—this time, a legitimate debt backed by a court order.
A profesional sounding male contacted me, asking about an unknown person in a very calm and insisting manner.
A call arrived on a landline in Coventry: a very professional-sounding man inquired about someone I didn't know. He was quite persistent and calm while asking if I had any knowledge of the person or whether they lived there.
Persistent debt collectors are bothering me about a debt I do not owe. Like others have mentioned, I have blocked them multiple times, yet they continue to call from different numbers.
Vodafone has established its own debt collection company, which harasses individuals who refuse to pay £365 for cancelling their supposedly fibre broadband service, despite it being a copper connection. The ombudsman is aware of this scam and has compelled Vodafone to provide compensation in numerous cases; however, their debt collection department continues to pursue payments for debts that do not exist. I have blocked and deleted the number.
The financial services representative was vague about fees and terms. I'd be cautious before engaging.
They didn't request a call
Another vague outreach that didn't provide any real value, felt like a cold call.
Repeated calls nonstop
A vague call about a community event that never existed. Probably just a mistake.
A financial services rep called out of the blue; they were courteous but the timing was off.
Repeated calls from Cabbot Financial regarding a non-existent debt, employing multiple numbers.
Attempting to phish for data, supposedly shared with collection agencies like Cabot and others..
I’m a 19-year-old girl, and they keep spamming me with calls. Even after blocking, they use different numbers. I don’t owe anyone money, so this is suspicious. Block or report to the police as it’s harassment
Should you not owe them anything, it is advisable to report them to the authorities. Harassment of this nature is a criminal offence under the Telecommunications Act, as continued calls after a request to stop are illegal. Misusing personal details, including phone numbers, breaches the Data Protection Act, and demanding payment for non-existent debts constitutes fraud. Reporting to the ICO may lead to action if enough complaints are filed.
