This is Cabot, a debt collection agency. They’re somewhat legitimate IF you owe money – PAY UP! If you don’t, the rest of us end up footing the bill through higher charges. But pay the original creditor, not these shady collectors. Debts don’t just disappear after a certain time, as some believe. If you don’t owe anything but are being chased, investigate – you might be a victim of identity theft. Contact Cabot to find out where this supposed debt came from. Don’t ignore it – your credit score could suffer. Citizens Advice can help. Be cautious, as scammers are posing as debt collectors, advisors, and even Citizens Advice.
