I had a missed call from this number, and upon calling back, a recorded message identified them as LCS company. I was given two options: press one to pay a debt or press two to speak to an operator. I hung up. Their website, LCSO.co.uk, appears to be a scam

A voicemail from an unclear caller, possibly LCS, featured an automated message about a personal matter, requesting a callback, which I suspect is a scam

A letter was received from LCS, supposedly on behalf of Scottish Power, demanding payment for a period when the property was empty, but the call was suspicious and likely a scam

A voicemail was left claiming to be from LFC on behalf of Shell Energy regarding an urgent matter, despite having no account with them

Following a call from this number, I was alarmed to discover they claimed to be representing Scottish Power as a debt collector, possesing details of my past account and being quite persisent

They claimed to be from Eon energy, but they asked for me by my maiden name which made me suspicious, they wanted me to confirm my name and date of birth, but I refused to give them my personal details

My mum received repeated calls from this number regarding her account. Although we’re with Scottish Power and she recently received an email from them, she quickly became frustrated and hung up, as she’s often left on hold. I’d advise blocking this number and avoiding answering

This morning, I received the same suspicious message, which immediately raised my suspicions due to the unusual phone number and the recorded voice, a man's, being distinctly different from the typical cheerful automated voice I'm accustomed to. Having spoken with Scottish Power just two days prior, I contacted them again and discovered no record of any SMS being sent, after which I was advised to research this number online, leading me to this page. Fortunately, many people have not fallen prey to this scam, but unfortunately, some may still be deceived into paying their utility bills, incurring unnecessary costs or potentially being charged for lengthy hold times or premium rate call backs.

A suspicious text message was received, allegedly from ScotPower, providing a link and phone number to pay a bill, which is believed to be a scam as I am not a customer of Scottish Power.

Initially, the caller claimed to be from Scottish Power, seeking personal information. I responded sharply. The following day, a text from the same number urged me to call urgently. Clearly a scam.
