I got a call and a text claiming to be from Barclays; I’ll go into the bank myself – never give details over the phone, it’s a scam.

Someone tried to extract personal info to misuse my debit card.

A hazardous and confusing scenario – this number rang three times today and shows up as “Nuisance”. It asked for a callback on 03330456002 to speak with the Barclays Fraud Team. Barclays’ official anti‑scam guidance says never redial a number from such a message; instead call the official 0345 number on their website. If the number calls you, hang up and use Barclays’ official contact details.

Today at 10:30 a call from 03330456002 claimed to be Barclays fraud team and asked me to press any key for a fraud check after spotting an odd transaction. This wasn’t Barclays – the only safe action is to end the call.

Disregard the previous note – this is unquestionably a scam and not associated with Barclays.

Got three calls today, all shouting “SCAM, SCAM, SCAM”.

After scanning a QR code I was redirected to flaftbill.com, which claimed a test £1 charge. Barclays blocked it, yet I later received six calls from that number, with a recorded message urging an urgent call to another long number. I instead called the number on my card and the real Barclays confirmed the fraud team had declined the payment. No further action needed, but two more calls came. If unsure, ring your bank using the number on the back of your card. The site is hosted via GoDaddy in Arizona, USA – stay vigilant.

A call came from this number, and an automated voice claimed my account was compromised, urging me to press any key – I hung up, which proved the right choice.

The automated voice on the other end of the call stated my account had been compromised and asked me to press a key to procede, somthing didnt feel right so i ended the call, glad i did after cheking the number here.

Two voice messages were dropped, mentioning suspicious card activity but omitting any bank details. Since my bank already holds my mobile number and would usually text me about odd transactions – which it hasn't – I'm certain this isn’t from them. Stay alert, cheers.

They left me two voicemessages with the bank details missing, saying ther was suspisous activty on my card, but my bank has my mobile number so it cant be them, my bank can text me if ther is any suspisous activty

I'm concerned about this number, as they claimed that someone had been using my card, and I rarely use it, which has led me to suspect that someone involved with one of the online charities I support might be involved.

Beware of fake Barclays calls

These crooks will stop at nothing, using spoofed phone numbers to trick people; remember to never give out personal details unless you initiated the call, and always verify by calling the number on your bank card

This particually convincing scam calles multiple times and sounds quite dangers, please disregard it as you could easly panic and end up contacting them, which is their intention.
