A claim was made that I owed £90 for gas! Laughable, as I don’t even consume that much gas! Clearly a scam, so I blocked the number!
Got a letter from EDF claiming I owe them money, even though I switched 4.5 years ago. They knew my last bill details, including the date and account number. Wasn’t sure if it was genuine, so I checked the number they provided (0333 009 7097) and found it linked to EDF. Called it, but got a recorded message saying the number is no longer in use and to call another number. They almost got me, but luckily I checked online first.
EDF scam. They had my name, so there must be a security breach linked to these calls.
Upon receiving a call from 03330069950, I immediately suspected a scam, particularly when they claimed I owed EDF money for a final bill, which I knew was false as I had never been a customer, and my deceased mother's bills had all been settled.
