Similar to others, I received a call claiming to be about finalising details on a car accident, but when I asked questions, they hung up, which raises suspicions.
Upon answering a call from 0330 808 7680, they addressed me by name and claimed to be from Direct Law, referencing an accident. When I inquired about the accident's date, they vaguely mentioned the last 24 months before abruptly ending the call.
Claimed to be Direct Response UK and mentioned a car accident, saying they were from the Motor Insurers Bureau, which is false. When I asked for company details, they became evasive and sarcastic, refused to provide information, and offered to transfer me to a manager. I kept pushing, and they eventually hung up. Checked Direct Response's Facebook page, and they mentioned that a company called First Response in Liverpool often uses their name. Advised to check First Response on here for scam calls. Caller had a strong Liverpool accent, while Direct Response is based in Bristol.
Rang my mobile but it was a missed call. After reading other people's comments, I've now blocked the number.

During the call, they claimed to be from Direct Law, partnering with UK Car Insurance, but when I questioned their knowledge of my claims history, they hung up; this was one of five calls in 30 hours.
