A genuine call from Domestic & General (not a scam!). We've had several appliances insured with them, and they offered to add more. Had a pleasant chat and agreed to talk again in January (after things settle down a bit).

A Scottish male voice asked me to verify my address with the postcode. Since he called my mobile, I requested he confirm my home phone number displayed on his screen. He provided one with the correct area code but an incorrect number. When I pointed this out, he strongly suggested I contact customer services and offered to give me the number, which I declined. I researched and called from a different phone, confirming it was a scam.

Although Domestic and General is a legitimate insurance company, their frequent calls are becoming a nuisance.
After multiple calls from this number, supposedly representing Domestic and General, I refused to confirm my details and asked to be removed from their list, which led to an aggressive response.
