Reports highlight calls from this number pretending to be from mobile providers like Three or O2, promising hefty discounts on bills or upgrades. Callers often have thick accents, making communication difficult, and push for personal details aggressively. This screams scam—legitimate companies never cold-call for such offers or demand info like that. Hang up straight away if you get one; don't engage. Block the number on your phone, and report to Action Fraud or your provider to stop these nuisances. If they've got your data somehow, check your account security and consider changing passwords. Stay vigilant; these tricksters spoof UK locations like Newry to seem legit.

A call claimed to be from Three, my supposed provider, but I’m not a Three customer, so I called them out as a scam.
It was a scam.
They claimed to represent Three, so I ended the call straight away.
Pure fraud.
They called ten minutes ago, claimed to be from Newry, NI, and said they couldn’t answer because they were driving – clearly a scam.
I received a call today from someone pretending to be O2, offering a 30% discount on my monthly bill for a few months. Previously I've had similar calls; this one said they were based in Newry and the caller had a strong Asian accent.
The call centre from 3 seemingly hung up on me.
A call from an Indian centre pretended to be a UK number (Northern Ireland) offering a 40% discount on my mobile contract, despite not knowing any details. When I mentioned upgrading to a Fortitude 4200 with a Snapdragon 9 quad‑core handset, the agent said I was wasting his time and hung up. Hopefully this ends further calls.
The caller's intentions were deceptive, and their language skills were lacking.

The live caller, whose heavy accent made the supposed SIM‑card company announcement largely unintelligible, hung up. The same number called again thirty seconds later. Both calls have been reported to the ICO for non‑compliance with TPS.

The caller offered a mobile discount but wasn’t my provider; I hung up as soon as they asked for personal details.
They were extremely persistent, pressuring me for personal information. After I declined, they called back and kept trying to extract details – clearly a scam.
I received three calls in a minute while I was at work, so I let them go – clearly a scam.
A voice claimed to be from 3 Mobile offering a 60% discount on existing plans, yet they could not provide any proof of affiliation.
A call arrived on 20/12/2023, apparently from someone posing as Three; I usually ignore such contacts as I get many (perhaps my data is being sold). The female speaker had an Indian accent and tried to push an upgrade with discounts; I let her know I was fine and didn’t need anything. My phone also flagged the number as being located in Ireland.
It seemed like a cold call; I didn't pick up, and no voicemail was left.
This is a very desceptive scam that posese a threat
