Were this a scam, the number wouldn’t have been active for more than ten years. It’s a legitimate Met Police line from central London; only those with something to hide or fearing police would rate it negatively. Just pointing out the TPS rating shows it’s exempt, meaning it’s been cleared as safe.
After receiving five missed calls, I looked up the number and realised it was a scam – thanks everyone.
After three rings I finally answered, and the caller said they were contacting me about a missing person, claiming they'd received my number. I told them I wasn't the individual, they thanked me and hung up, sounding sincere.

My phone rang briefly. It was right next to me, so I went to pick it up and they hung up. I reported a crime earlier today, so I suspect those commenting might be correct about it being the Met police. Just unsure why they disconnected so quickly. I wish people wouldn’t do that.
