A scam call was received, purportedly from BT on behalf of Sky, regarding internet security, which resulted in the theft of money from my father's bank account.
My company, Direct-Energy Associates Ltd, has been impersonated by fraudsters, who continue to make calls in our name; we have reported this to our trade association and suppliers and are exploring ways to track and stop them.
The caller attempted to convince me that I was due a refund and needed to confirm my bank details, but it was clearly a scam so I've blocked the number

A man with a foreign accent called from this number, claiming I’d been overcharged by my energy provider and that the 'National Grid' had provided this information. He asked to speak to the business owner (I didn’t reveal it was me). While he was talking, I Googled the number and informed him it wasn’t recognized as the energy provider he claimed to represent, but rather associated with nuisance calls. He promptly hung up.
