Yesterday afternoon, a call from +442081033119 claimed to be from Vinted UK and asked for a security code sent via SMS. The caller remained silent for several seconds before hanging up, a typical tactic used to pressure the receiver into sharing the security code or OTP for account creation. Never disclose such codes to unsolicited callers; Vinted never requests them over the phone. Verify the number independently, block the contact on your handset, and report the incident to Vinted’s fraud team and to Action Fraud. Keep your personal details safe and enable two‑factor authentication where possible.
