An eastern‑accented caller claimed I’d missed out on a 35% discount for an extended warranty renewal I don’t have. He caught me at a bad time, so I couldn’t continue.
A man with an East Asian accent pretended to represent Domestic and General, insisting I had a two‑year contract starting last January. He knew my name, address, bank and even quoted a D&G account number, likely trying to harvest banking details. I haven’t dealt with D&G for years.
A man claiming to be John from India tried to obtain my account number, sort code, DOB and more—definitely a scam, so I refused. When I asked for the time in Mumbai, he seemed bewildered.
