If you get a call from +44 20 7946 2100 asking whether you’ve been in a car accident, it’s almost certainly an accident scam. These callers use a robotic or hurried voice to trick you into confirming personal details, which they then sell or use for fraudulent insurance claims. The safest move is to hang up immediately – don’t engage or provide any information. Add the number to your phone’s block list and consider reporting it to Ofcom’s spam‑call service. If you’ve already spoken, monitor your accounts for unauthorised activity and alert your insurer. Staying vigilant and refusing to answer unknown numbers is the best defence.
