Barclays has confirmed that this number is indeed fraudulent, advising to hang up immediately if called. For any account concerns, it's recommended to contact Barclays directly using the number on the back of your card.
For me, it turned out to be a legitimate call from Barclays. Initially, I was uncertain, so we decided to hang up so I could reach a verified customer service number, which confirmed that the KYC team wanted to connect with us.
