The caller said they needed to update my account because of the O2 and Three merger and offered a free premium subscription, but they were rather pushy.

Fraudsters posing as telecom reps have bombarded users with calls, claiming to hail from O2, Vodafone, or Sky to snag personal details for account takeovers or fake upgrades. Victims report hackers using stolen info for iPhone orders and social media breaches, forcing password resets and card cancellations. Persistent ringing from rotating London numbers dodges blocks. Hang up instantly on unsolicited callers asking for verification—legit firms never demand details over cold calls. Verify independently by dialling official numbers from their sites, and report to Action Fraud to curb these pests. Stay sharp to shield your data from such aggressive scams.

The call claimed to be from Sky Mobile, even though I moved to EE last year.
Someone named Sam from O2 called back after I originally dialled O2, and I didn’t recognise it as a fraud, which ended up causing me issues. The number was 02046043611.
This is a pure scam line – don’t answer. A quick search for 02 customer service returned this number; they already have my details and tried to order three iPhones on my account, attempted to breach all my social media profiles. I’ve had to reset passwords, cancel my debit card and stay alert for new accounts opened using my info. The harassment began three days ago and continues with different London numbers; each time I block one, another 020 number rings.
A fraudulent call claimed to be Vodafone.
A bloke from Vodafone named Simon rang, trying to get my info to switch my SIM from 4G to 5G. He was pretty pushy and felt like a scam. No thanks, mate.
A deceptive phone call.
