A man identified himself as from an energy company, inquiring about my boiler’s age – clearly a scam.
Someone said they represented 'Better Homes' and asked which renovations I’d undertake with a £5,000 budget. After I complained about the repeated calls, the line was abruptly ended.
The number closely resembled recent callers, so I didn’t answer, noting it had been reported as a scam.
A caller claimed to be from the energy advice office serving my postcode, gave vague details, and asked me to confirm I was the householder. I refused to share information until he identified himself and his location, after which he hung up.
