A repeat of the loft‑insulation survey scam has resurfaced. After a couple of months I expect a barrage of calls from the same crooks. They’ll try to convince you to agree to a “survey” that always finds the insulation faulty, then push a discounted spray‑foam solution tied to a non‑existent government grant. The foam they propose will definately lower your property’s value.

Expert Opinion
Be wary of unsolicited calls from unknown numbers, as they often mask fraudulent intent. These persistent attempts seem aimed at extracting personal details through false offers like health monitors or loft insulation surveys, potentially leading to financial loss or property devaluation. Hang up immediately if pressed for information, and never share sensitive data over the phone. Register with the Telephone Preference Service to reduce unwanted calls, and report suspicious activity to Action Fraud. Block the number on your device, and consider using call screening apps for added protection. Stay vigilant—scammers evolve tactics quickly.

Recent Reports for 020 4601 2008
A caller addressed me by name, saying they were from a medical alert service offering a neck‑worn health monitor for people over 50. When I asked how they got my number, they claimed I must have consented somewhere, so I hung up. Given other complaints about the same number for debt and loft‑insulation scams, it was clearly phishing.
The call was cut off as soon as the answering machine took over, clearly a scam attempt.
Avoid answering this line – the scammer is relentless. Cheers.
Another “debt‑solution” call, now rebranded as “credit‑solution”, turned out to be a scam.
