Typical O2 scam; I found it amusing when I called him a scammer 🤷🏻♀️ and told him his mother would be ashamed of him! He eventually hung up on me. NEVER share the one-time code they may ask for!

I chose to ignore the call as I suspected it was a bogus one, and after checking this site I have now blocked the number.
A recent call offered an O2 discount, but the poor line quality and the triggering of a one-time O2 code raised suspicions of a scam, prompting the call to be ended and the number blocked.
A suspicious call claiming to be from o2 was terminated and the number blocked; fortunately, I checked this platform afterwards
