Luckily, I now have an alternative fibre broadband option locally, so every couple of years I alternate between them as a 'new' subscriber for prime offers and maximum rebates. They'll propose a solid retention package, but you must decline the initial one and skip their rings for a week at least. Frequently, the line goes quiet because no agent is assigned, leaving you with dead air.

A caller claiming to be from Vodafone tried to upgrade my plan and wouldn't accept 'no,' so I had to end the call.
This number called claiming to offer a new deal from Virgin Media, but I couldn't continue the call. They promised to call back but haven't.
I kept getting calls from this number after I left Virgin Media, they tried to offer me new deals, but the caller, who had a scottish accent, just hung up when it was time to give me the details, and ofcourse they didnt bother calling back
Contrary to initial suspicions, this number is actually affiliated with Virgin Media and is legitimate.
Like many others have mentioned, this seems to be Virgin trying to win me back at any cost. However, their prices skyrocket after the contract ends, increasing by about 100%. Yet, after informing them of my decision to leave, they offered a rate even lower than before. Farewell, Virgin!
