Expert Opinion
Picture this: your phone buzzes with an unknown number, and a voice claims it's from O2 or Virgin Media, pushing dubious discounts. These persistent calls often mask scams aimed at hijacking telecom accounts, leaving users exposed to fraud. Reports consistently flag the Indian-accented callers as untrustworthy, unable to verify details like your name. Block immediately and report to your provider—don't engage, as it only encourages more attempts. If they've left voicemails, delete without listening. For peace of mind, enable spam filters on your device and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service to cut down on cold calls. Stay vigilant; legitimate firms never demand account access unsolicited.
