The woman from Liverpool received an absolutely appalling tirade from me, filled with personal, offensive, and downright foul language. Despite her attempting to rise to the challenge, I could tell I had gotten under her skin when she responded with 'Oh that's nice...' after initially hesitating. If everyone responded with such venom and hostility each time they call, it might just make them reconsider their approach.
Dont bother answering, just block the number
My experience was similar; my car was hit in a supermarket car park. I suspect the insurance companies provide these details or purchase them. I never found out who damaged my car, and when I mentioned this, they hung up.
Claimed to be Michelle from Direct Law. She said she was contacting me about a car accident I was involved in as a passenger. I informed her I already have a solicitor and am waiting to see a consultant for a back injury. I asked if she was connected to my solicitors, and she said she would update my files. I’m unsure how she obtained my mobile number, as it was only provided to the police and Royal Sun Alliance via mobility.
The timing of the call from these people was intersting, as it came shortly after I made changes to my policy with Direct Line, could it be more than a coincidence?

Rang me, stating I had been in an accident. I hung up immediately.
When I answered the call, the person claimed I'd been involved in a road traffic accident, which wasn't true. I played along, asking how they knew, and they mentioned working closely with insurance companies. When I told them they were mistaken, they ended the call. What a complete waste of time!
Received a call from a company called Aftercare Assistance, claiming I hadn’t claimed what I was entitled to after a supposed claim. I informed them they shouldn’t have my number without consent and that I hadn’t had any accidents. Told them to remove me from their records.
The caller claimed to be from a company similar to 'Direct law assistance' and asked about a car accident; when I inquired about their company, they hung up, which seemed suspicious given my recent conversation with Direct Line Insurance.
