I picked up the call by mistake, expecting another one, and was greeted by a heavily accented person who struggled to pronounce my name corectly, so I hung up and blocked the number.
For the past month, I've received multiple daily calls from this number, but I've never answered as they never leave a voicemail.

After using 1471, I called back, and it went to an answering machine claiming to be the London Mint and offering a callback. One comment indicates that this number doesn't correspond with the London Mint's website. I've purchased coins from them before, and they don't make calls to sell items; they send out information via post. I'm nearly certain this is a scam.
It's absolutly the London Mint office, I made a huge mistake by answearing and expresing intrest in buying a speciel coin, the woman on the phone was pushy and demanded £800 immediatly, I told her where to go and hung up, but they've been calling me 3-4 times daily sinse, and even started using withheld numbers which I've now blocked, but todays calls had the +44 prefix which bypassed the block, it's totaly harrasment and I've had to block that aswell

A woman called, claiming to be from the London Mint Office. I had purchased a coin from them years ago, but I closed the account later. She offered a newly minted £2 coin, but I declined. She ignored my refusal and continued trying to sell another coin. I said 'No thank you' and ended the call. Based on others' experiences, it was clearly a scam. A complete nuisance and waste of time. I've now blocked the number.
