The person claimed to be from Sky TV, telling me about complimentary device insurance available until January next year. He listed free apps I already knew, raising my suspicion of fraud. Although he seemed to know details about my package, he then requested my bank sort code and account number to set up the insurance, insisting the system required it. This made me even more wary, and I now fear I may have been scammed.
