Sure, it's a line from a TV contest, but safety-wise I'm unsure… Picked up, they verified I knew their identity and such. Suddenly the woman asks if I'd like lottery tickets and a daily mag from them? She says hand over your card info and I'll handle it… Major warning sign since nobody requests payment details verbally. I told her no, I won't share my info… She replied alright, but your odds of winning drop, I said yeah that's ideal… Then she hung up.

The woman sounded nice and mentioned I'd get lottery slips plus extra prizes by mail, but I'd need to cover £1.95 shipping upfront by sharing my card info over the line. I refused to provide any financial details to strangers and verified the entry, then ended the chat there.
