Rang today claiming I'd made the TV contest final from my entry. Offered free lotto tickets but £1.95 for shipping – wanted my bank deets to sort it. Said no, and she hung up. Watch out, folks!

Sure, it's a line from a TV contest, but safety-wise I'm unsure… Picked up, they verified I knew their identity and such. Suddenly the woman asks if I'd like lottery tickets and a daily mag from them? She says hand over your card info and I'll handle it… Major warning sign since nobody requests payment details verbally. I told her no, I won't share my info… She replied alright, but your odds of winning drop, I said yeah that's ideal… Then she hung up.

Vile fraud attempt! Scan the three pages of reports here!! Ensure every incoming call from this number gets flagged. That's the way to halt these con artists!

Never share personal info or commit to anything from an unsolicited call. And don't hand over cash to strangers on the line. Folks on this thread have been stung hard. We need to report all these to shut them down. That postage fee request is just the opener to a bigger con – they'll snag your bank or card info first off. Scroll through the comments; it's a real wake-up call!

Kept calling across two days; missed the initial pair, picked up today and they hung up at my hello. These types buy active numbers to test and then push various scams. Definite scam line.

Got a ring today claiming I'd been entered into a late May raffle following my entry in a Strictly Come Dancing contest. The woman sounded nice and mentioned I'd get lottery slips plus extra prizes by mail, but I'd need to cover £1.95 shipping upfront by sharing my card info over the line. I refused to provide any financial details to strangers and verified the entry, then ended the chat there.

Answered to silence, no one said a word. Wasted my time, didn't they?

Definitely a scam! They asked for bank details regarding a 'prize package' and were quite pushy. Best to steer clear!

They requested payment to Royal Mail for a package delivery, but when I refused, they promptly hung up, very suspisous.

Following several calls from this number, I finaly answered and was told I'd won a tv word search quiz, but it was all a scam, I've now blocked the number and my card, what a nuisence.
