This is a blatant scam.
Extremely persistent, this must be the 20th call from them - all for my husband, all from EDF (??), all about cavity wall insulation. Seemingly the same person. Such a nuisance.
The caller, who sounded like they were from an African country, claimed to be from EDF and had my name and address, but I refused to confirm my details as they should have had them already

Recently, I’ve had multiple calls claiming to be from EDF, with a lady speaking in a strong Indian accent quoting my name. I dismissed them as scams, but after another call today, I checked EDF's official numbers and found this one listed under the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS). As I haven't permitted EDF to contact me except regarding my account, I wonder if these calls violate the TPS code. Perhaps I should investigate that, as these calls are increasingly irritating.

Free loft insulation? They claimed to represent EDF. When I inquired about their location, they mentioned South Africa, even though my phone displayed Sunderland. BE AWARE.

Someone from EDF called about cavity wall insulation, but when I said I already had it, they hung up.
A call from this number was received while I was absent, and the answering machine captured only background noise and laughter. In a subsequent call, the speaker claimed to represent EDF, offering free home insulation. When I declined, citing my house was already fully insulated, the representative responded with hostility and terminated the call.
Addressed me as Mrs and used my first name without the surname. Claimed to be from EDF, but I told them I wasn’t interested and to remove my name from their call list. They persisted, so I hung up. The caller had a very thick accent.
