BT called me twice today, trying to keep me as customer

Probably it's a BT retention call, not a random scam. When customers signal they are leaving BT, the company’s retention team often rings the number they have on file to offer a better deal or confirm the switch. The calls usually mention account details and may propose a discount, but they rarely ask for payment information. To stay safe, ask for the caller’s name, department and a reference number, then verify by calling BT’s official 150 number. If you’re not interested, request to be placed on a do‑not‑call list and consider blocking the number. Report persistent nuisance calls to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Genuine BT call with bill discount
Like many others, we've switched providers, so they’re probably attempting to persuade us to stay with BT. I'm exhausted from answering calls or dealing with scammers. Being very ill, I just want some peace! These individuals lack any sense of morality.
Telemarketer mentioning something from York, but I know no one there and didn't order anything. Sketchy and unwanted.
Since this number is from a distant location, and I have no connections there, I ignored the call, and I'm currently in the process of switching to a different provider due to poor internet service.
After deciding to switch my BT landline to EE for cost savings, I received a call from this number, which claimed to be BT but had an American accent and hung up after I confirmed my name
Having informed BT of my intention to leave their service in February 2023, I suspect this call was from their retentions team attempting to persuade me to stay. The call came through to my landline, but I didn't answer in time to engage with them.
On November 29, 2022, this number was answered on the third ring, but the caller hung up immediately.
Neutral experience reported
On several occasions, I received calls from 01912614096, but I chose not to answer since the number wasn't stored in my phone's memory.
Unsolicited marketing calls are annoying, practises like this should stoped immediatly, i will aproach them when necesary!
I received a call from 01912614096. Since I have begun transitioning to Sky, this is likely related to BT Retentions based on other reports. Although I prefer communication through my mobile, they opted to call my landline instead. To be fair, they have sent texts as well. I attempted to reach Retentions (Cancellations) a week ago regarding my contract renewal, but after being on hold for 15 minutes without a response, I decided to hang up. Sorry BT, improvement is needed.
Confirmation of BT cancellation
Upon receiving this call, it became apparent that the individual on the other end was purporting to be a BT representative, although their intentions seemed dubious, particularly when they became irritated after I declined their suggestions, which has led me to question the authenticity of this call and the customer service methods employed.
Bad and telemarketing happen
A gentleman contacted me to offer a 'full fibre' deal at my current price, however I already have this service and a legitmate company would have known this, the caller seemed annoyed when I expresed my desire to investigate further to ensure it wasn't a scam, if they call again I will request they comunicate with me through my online account.
