Connected with a Chris from Meta requesting my MD, I mentioned he was in a meeting, he insisted the MD awaited his call but was slightly early. He'd call again. To confirm, I checked with my boss afterwards - no knowledge of Chris or the firm, nor any expected call. Regarding the review calling Chris 'just doing his job', his role seems to involve cold-calling firms with outright lies. I refuse to be duped merely for not being the director. Rating this as 'Unknown' since he promised a follow-up but hasn't (yet another falsehood).
Spoke to Chris personally; he and his colleagues are polite and considerate. People should realise he's simply carrying out his duties.

This phone call had all the hallmarks of a scam, requesting to speak with our sister company's MD using an unfamiliar name.
A man named Chris Darwin called, requesting to speak with our managing director, asserting familiarity with him by an abbreviated name and claiming they had spoken in August. Unfortunately, our managing director passed away at the end of June. I advised Chris Darwin to conduct better research for his cold calls. He hung up shortly after.
