Unsolicited Energy Calls: Scam? - +44 1803 413016 (01803 413016)
Summary — +441803413016
Expert Opinion
Under grey skies in early September, this number sparked a flurry of unsolicited rings across Devon and beyond. Callers pose as local energy advisors, pushing solar panels or home visits to vulnerable folks—classic hallmarks of a scam designed to exploit trust. No messages left on missed calls only heighten the suspicion, as genuine services rarely dodge voicemail. Blacklisting helps, but scammers rotate numbers like clockwork, dodging simple blocks. Register with the Telephone Preference Service pronto, and invest in a call blocker app for landlines. If they persist, report to Action Fraud—don't let these nuisances derail your day. Stay vigilant; hang up on pushy pitches without a second thought.

I got an unsolicited call claiming I’d expressed interest in solar panels – which I never did – and I blocked the number.
The answering machine recorded nothing.
Another energy adviser scam has appeared.
A nuisance call hit my landline at 10:34 am, and I wish Ofcom would intervene; later a withheld number rang at 8:41 am while I was answering the door for a gas engineer, and I have now blocked that as well.
I didn’t answer because the number was unknown, and the call went straight to voicemail without leaving a message. It appears to have been a scam, as confirmed here. Thanks to earlier contributors; I’ve blocked and deleted the number.
Since I was out when the scammer rang, I added the number to my blocked list.
Another scam has appeared; someone needs to intervene against these fraudsters.
He claimed to be my local energy advisor, but I declined and hung up. Torquay isn’t exactly nearby – when will these scam calls stop?
On 3 September I received a call from an unknown number and blocked it using CPR call blocker.
I dealt with an energy scammer who switches numbers after being blacklisted. I wish BT would block them entirely, as they continually request a technician visit, putting a vulnerable adult at risk.
