After a few weeks, the same scammer rang again today, once more urging me to write to them. I've received multiple calls and sense a veiled threat.
A polite lady, mentioned in earlier posts, called from ADVANTIS. I couldn’t make out her words, so I asked her to spell the company name. She claimed she needed to verify my identity for a client’s outstanding matter. There is indeed a debt‑collection firm by that name, but I have no debts. She suggested putting the issue in writing, yet replied it wouldn’t stop the calls.
Looks like a scam.
On 04/06/2025, a very polite lady called from this number, asking for a Mr Whipple. When I told her it was the wrong number, she apologised and said she’d delete my contact.
A robotic Chinese scam call—no human picks up, just an automated system. It's a fraud; avoid answering.
A quiet voicemail mentioned Advantis, but I could barely make out the words. Given similar reports, it looks like another scam.
When I answered, the scammer stayed silent, refusing to speak.
I’ve never heard of Advantis. Like other posts, this appears possibly fraudulent – proceed with caution.
Someone rang about a business proposal.
I have no idea who they are.
It seems they haven't given up yet. I just picked up a call with a recorded message claiming they had sent me a letter and needed to discuss a business issue, providing a number to call back. I’d never encountered them before, so it reeked of a scam. I immediately hung up and checked this site. So relieved I did! I’ll wait for their so-called 'letter' (which will never show up) – it’s just a tactic to get you talking. You can imagine how the conversation would go: 'We sent it, didn’t you get it? No? No worries, just give us your details now!'
Despite previous attempts, these individuals persist in their efforts.
This number appears to be from Stoke on Trent, but all reviews indicate it's a scam
This number from the call info was actually hiding its identity, asking to call 0172 971401 in a text message claiming to be from Atlantis. After checking other comments, it's clear it's a scammer. Be cautious and block the number.
The early morning call from this number was extremly frightening, as they were asking for someone who didnt live here, and I find these cold callers to be absolutly disgusting.
Advantis...... "We will never request personal or account details via email, call, or text, such as your card number, PIN, security code, or Online Banking credentials. If you get an unsolicited communication asking for this information — even if it looks like it's from Advantis — do not engage!"
A spam call was received, believed to be from a company called Advantis Credit, despite previously blocking their numbers about a year ago.
A call came to my mobile and left a message asking me to ring back. I looked up the number, found this thread, and decided to block them. Thanks to everyone for the helpful comments 😊
They rang both yesterday and today; I let it go to voicemail where they claimed to be Advantis. After researching, I found the firm to be fraudulent, and thanks to other users' feedback, I've blocked the line.
After receiving a call and message from this number, I chose to investigate further and will now be blocking the number
Following a couple of calls from this number, I chose not to answer and instead looked them up. The message left claimed to be from a company called Advantis, which appears to be a scam after conducting research.
After receiving a call from this number and returning it, I was informed that the caller was a debt collector who then requested my personal details, which I refused to provide.
They left a message asking me to call back, but didn’t even mention my name!
Dealings with this company have been previouly experianced, apparantly they are Adventist debt collection
Claiming to be from Advantis, they refused to provide any information until I confirmed my personal details. I declined and requested written correspondence, and I’ve now blocked this number. Definitely a scam.
This is undoubtedly a scamming attempt
