Opinia expertului
Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, this caller preys on trust in everyday services to extract sensitive details. Comments reveal a pattern of unsolicited pitches for household insurance, often falsely claiming policies are expiring or need renewal, targeting utilities like drainage, plumbing, and water. Scammers push for bank details under false pretences, as one victim nearly fell for reduced payments before verifying with their real provider. Block the number immediately and report to Action Fraud. Never share sort codes or account info on cold calls—genuine firms won't demand them unsolicited. If unsure, hang up and contact your insurer directly using verified numbers. Stay vigilant; these tactics exploit familiarity with home policies.

Attempting to sell household pipework insurance, they falsely said our cover had expired and tried to charge £11.50 a month. Pure scam.
My phone flagged the call as a suspected scam, I didn’t answer and there was no voicemail, so I blocked the number after checking here.
A woman said she was from Portsmouth Water, even mentioning my name and address, and claimed my water insurance was about to expire; I told her I never bought such insurance and she hung up.
Someone rang saying my policy had lapsed and pitched a fresh deal with lower monthly fees – I already have a drainage and plumbing cover, so I was wary. The pitch turned shady when they asked for my bank sort code and account number, insisting it was a new policy rather than a simple amendment. Even a 'supervisor' jumped in to sound legit, but I refused to hand over anything on a cold call. After checking with my actual provider, it turned out to be a scam, cheers.
The call that just arrived was completely silent, which leads me to believe it’s a scam; previous comments mention a variety of offers from this same number.
I asked if they were a scammer; they responded, “If you don’t want to hear about your insurance, I’ll just cancel it,” then hung up. I’ve blocked the number.
An early afternoon ring at 16:41 asked about a household‑utilities policy, you know.
I received a call but chose not to answer.
