Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why that unsolicited ring from an unknown number leaves you feeling uneasy? Reports consistently highlight calls from this source as fraudulent attempts, often masquerading as representatives from telecom providers like EE to extract personal details or push fake discounts. Callers frequently hang up quickly, remain silent, or persist with harassment, backed by noisy call centre vibes suggesting overseas operations. Block the number immediately and report it to authorities such as Action Fraud to curb these nuisances. Avoid sharing any information, no matter how legitimate they sound—genuine firms won't cold-call for sensitive data. If pestered repeatedly, consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service for fewer unwanted calls.

Remained silent before disconnecting
Remained silent and echoed my question when I demanded to know who was calling
AGONY, THEY KEEP CALLING NON-STOP EVEN AFTER I ERASE THE VOICEMAIL UNHEARD!!! TOTAL NUISANCE
Likely a con. Grateful for the reports from others
Didn't say a peep. Pointless.
Likely a fraudulent caller. Silence on their end, though I heard bustling sounds like a busy call center. Accents seemed South Asian. Then a female laughed before they disconnected.
Unexpected scam ring from this contact
Two calls from this lot. They dropped both times.
Dropped the line after a couple of seconds
Rubbish line.
TWO RINGS IN ONE HOUR. IGNORED. CONTACT BLOCKED.
Skipped the call and quickly searched for reports. Suggest nobody picks up—likely pointless.
Fraud ring pretending to be from my carrier EE, asking about my latest bill amount. I threw out £20 randomly, then he claimed he could reduce it to £12, requested my email. I refused to share details with a random caller; he insisted it was for verification. I said the same again, he claimed it's EE policy. I told him I'm not even with EE - 'FRAUDSTER'. Then he ended the call
Falsely offering EE discounts. These harassers need to quit; they're a total bother.
Rang twice, looked up the number, then blocked it—cheers everyone.
