At 8:20 am I was called by a woman with a pronounced Asian accent who tried to sell me a discount on my Domestic and General policy. Clearly a scam, especially after a similar call the previous day, so I hung up.

Persistent calls from this number often feature strong accents and pushy tactics, with reports highlighting attempts to extract bank details under false pretences like free boiler cover or policy discounts. Several recipients identified these as scams, blocking the line swiftly. A callback message references 'My Household Savings' posing as a survey, yet early morning cold calls raise red flags. Hang up immediately on unsolicited requests for personal info; never share sort codes or account details. Report to Action Fraud for investigation, and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unwanted calls. Block and ignore these nuisances to stay safe.

A call came at 09:00, was cut off straight away and never redialed. Folks, answering the phone—or even opening the door—is optional; if you’re unsure, just ignore it!
Yet another scammer caught—spoke with an Asian accent. Seriously, stop bulk‑purchasing numbers.
The caller, a woman with a strong Asian accent, asked to speak to “the lady of the house”. That sounded odd—who uses that phrase nowadays? I’d had a similar call a few days earlier, so I blocked both numbers.
When offered free boiler cover from British Gas, they asked for my bank sort code; I warned them it was a scam.
They keep harassing the landline with persistent calls; they ought to be blocked. Rude lot.
When I returned the call, a recorded message said it was from "My Household Savings" and presented the call as a survey, even though it was a cold call at 8:15 am.
No voicemail was left after the call, so I blocked the number.
