Direct Energy scam calls – how to stop them! - +44 161 713 4067 (0161 713 4067)
Resumen — +441617134067
Opinión del experto
Undeniably, the number +441617134067 is being used for energy‑saving scam calls that masquerade as government‑backed offers. Victims repeatedly report aggressive, unsolicited pitches promising huge bill reductions, yet they provide no verifiable details and often hang up when questioned. Block the caller on your handset, register the number with the TPS, and report it to Action Fraud. Keep a log of call times and scripts – this aids investigations. Never share personal or banking information with unknown callers, and request written confirmation of any alleged scheme before taking further action.

Received an announced call from this number, but since my husband didn't recognise the company, I ended the call.
After purchasing a washing machine from AO yesterday, I received a call confirming delivery and warranty details. The caller inquired about my previous experiences with AO and the reason for replacing my old machine, mentioning insurance. When they tried to sell me insurance through Domestic and General, I declined, and they respected my decision before ending the call.
They identified themselves as Direct Energy, claiming it wasn’t a sales call or nuisance. I pointed out this was the third unsolicited call today, and the line went dead. We use a call blocker and are on do-not-call lists. The first call woke us at 8:45 AM, disrupting our retirement sleep. These calls are infuriating.
The number 0161 713 4067 consistently calls, even before 8 am, but never leaves a message; we never answer such calls, and these types of callers usually give up after reaching the answering machine and move on.
A call was missed, but no voicemail was left.
Similar to other reports, this appears to be an energy scam; the number has been blocked, which is frustrating given its similarity to our local hospital's number.
At 9:30 today, a woman from this number claimed to represent a UK homecare company sponsored by the government, promising to help reduce carbon emissions and save me £350 annually. She requested to ask four questions, but when I expressed skepticism, she offered to send information by post, claiming to already have my details.
This number has contacted me twice, including a call this morning, claiming to be government-approved and offering to save me money; I've asked them to remove my number and registered with the TPS to prevent further calls.
The number 01617134067 should be blocked, we recieved several calls but no message was left, since we are ex-directory, any number that call us without leaving a message will be blocked now

The caller from 01617134067 claimed to represent Home Save, a government-funded energy scheme, but the number is actually registered to TelAppliant - shouldn't they be reported for cold calling?
Despite their repeated attempts to reach me, I've chosen to ignore the calls due to the unfamiliar number, and I've checked this site for more information.
This seems like an energy scam; I've blocked the number.
This seems like an energy scam. They disconnected before I could respond. When I called back, I shared my thoughts about their tactics. Clearly a scam attempt.
They called about an energy assessment and asked six questions. I declined their offer for an afternoon appointment. I answered to understand their intent, but they inquired about home ownership, gas boilers, disabilities, and co-ownership. Surprise! They don’t know me, yet they called.
After reading these comments, I plan to block the number, as it called today but did not leave a message
An energy-saving service was offered, wanting to schedule an appointment for an assessor to explain their product, claiming it was government funded and no cost to me, typical pitch. I expressed disinterest and they ended the call immediately. Number blocked.
