An Asian lady, claiming to be from the tax office, contacted me from this number; when questioned, she claimed to be from an outsourcing company, which I disputed and reported to HMRC, who directed me to www.actionfraud.police.uk and phone number 0300-123-2040

After checking the number, I chose not to answer, as it appeared to be a Manchester code. I have now blocked the number to protect myself from potential scams, and I advise others to do the same.

After recieving a call from this number, i recieved the rebate forms and being cautious, i checked the company online, beware of this no win no fee firm, the forms will be going in the bin and the number is blocked, be carefull with them

Scam...my partner recieved a call from an Asian lady stating he owed a tax return, had his details, and was sending a form...I thought it sounded suspcious since HMRC usually don't call, glad I checked the number online.

During a conversation with an Asian lady who claimed to know my name and partial postcode, I realised she was attempting to discuss my tax; as an accountant, I knew HMRC procedures and asked her to provide my NI number to verify, which she failed to do

To get rid of them, i simply asked them alot of questions, like why i need there services when i can get all the info from HMRC, and if they have acces to my records, why dont they know why im due some money, they eventualy said there info must be out of date and just hung up on me, haha
