An Asian scammer named Alex Wilson? He claimed to represent Your Lifestyle Habits while conducting a fraudulent survey for personal data. The call ended when I questioned how he acquired my ex-directory number.
A woman with a foreign accent rang, claiming to be from Consumer Lifestyle and asking to pose four questions. I agreed, provided no personal questions were asked. She then stated my name and address, asking for confirmation. I replied it was incorrect, and she disconnected.
At approximately 14:00 hours, I received a silent call, which is typically indicative of spam, phishing, or even criminal activity.

Mentioned something about British ........ Couldn’t catch the rest, but she insisted she wasn’t selling anything. Asked for yes or no answers, promising it would only take 20 seconds. I refused to say yes, fearing they might misuse a recording of my voice. When she asked to confirm my name, I just hung up.
Following reports on this site, I've blocked the number as they failed to leave a message after not answering.
Given that I didn't recognise the number and saw that others had commented about it, I've decided to block it, especially since I have no reason to expect calls from Scotland
After ignoring the call, I received two texts requesting a callback, which seems unnecessary given that people can easily look up unfamiliar numbers online
This number appeard on my phone with a location in Wales, however upon further inspection, the location changed to somewhere in Scotland, leading me to block the number immediatly.

During a 6pm call, I encountered a man named Alex, who spoke rapidly with an Indian accent, claiming to represent a company gathering local popularity data, despite the call originating from Scotland; he assured me it was merely a survey, yet it proved lengthy and repetitive
Prior to answering his questions, I posed a few of my own, regarding the company name and purpose of the call, etc, it was enquiring about tv ownership and package, amongst other things, and the address they had was incorrect, they also asked about utility bills and energy providers, which I didnt know, as I live with my parent's, and didnt want to continue the converstaion
It was peculiar since they claimed not to be calling to sell or change anything. I mentioned I didn’t have permission for that, and they abruptly ended the call. The questions seemed aimed at gathering data on popular energy suppliers to match prices or secure a better deal. It’s a Scottish energy company. (PART 3!)
A lady, who introduced herself as Jennifer, rang me, claiming the call would only take 30 seconds, but it actualy took nearly 10 minutes, during which she asked me numerous questions about my energy supplier, despite me repeatedly telling her I was a private rental tenant and didnt know, and eventualy asked if she could pass my details to energy suppliers in the Scottish area, which is ironic since I live in Leeds.
