My workplace was phoned roughly ten times weekly, each time asking for the owner who never happened to be available. I suggested a callback, but the caller grew angry, shouted about the frequency, and became defensive when I offered to note his number for a later call. Eventually I looked up the number and discovered it was listed as a harassment/scam line.

He claimed to represent the National Grid and wanted to replace my meter, yet he couldn't answer simple queries and obviously sourced my business number from my website.
It turned out to be an answering machine with no message left, just call centre background noise. Similar calls came from nine other numbers such as 01522246299, 01522444672, 01524411178, 01526342184, 01526347489, 01535658414, 01543427563, 01551702047 and 01562742275.
