Scottish Power scam alert – what to do? - +44 1527 419042 (01527 419042)

They keep ringing non-stop. If someone claims to be from a company you use, look up their official number and report them for harassment. People have been flagging this number to SP since 2023, so clearly the company hasn't taken action. They've posed as Carphone Warehouse and Scottish Power. Always call the official number back and never share personal details. It's a scam.

This number claims to be Scottish Power, but they ask for personnal detials, which is a clear sign of a scam, so dont provide them

Received another call asking for my personal information. I told them they had called me and demanded their details. I refuse to engage with anyone making unsolicited calls, even if they claim to be Scottish Power.

I recieved a recorded message, supposedly from Scottish power, but since i dont have an account with them, it was probaby a scam

Although they claimed to be from Scottish Power, the caller requested security questions, which raised suspicions since a legitimate caller would already have my information.

Repeatedly disturbed from my night shift by these callers. I'm fed up. I need to keep my phone on because my children are in the hospital.

I was targeted by a scam call impersonating Scottish Power, asking for payment, despite me not having used their services for years.

They have tryed to call me 2 times, it came up on my phone as a scam, I told them but they just kept trying to convince me

During the conversation, the caller claimed to be from Lloyds bank security team, but when asked for the bank's name, the story fell apart, revealing an obvious scam.

This is definately a scam, they are pretending to be from Scottish Power, they asked for my DOB and account number, I told them they should have that info, they then told me they werent discussing my account with me because I failed the security questions, I hung up and called Scottish Power who confirmed it was a scam

Following multiple missed calls, I chose to block the number.

Scottish Power's caller left a message asking to press 1 to continue, after which the number was blocked

The call was clearly spam, as the woman on the other end was unclear and asked for personal details, including name, address, and email, despite my account being up to date.

Blocked these scammers who pretended to be someone else.
