Expertenmeinung
Like a double-edged sword in the dead of night, this number slices through confusion, mostly as a lifeline from the North West Ambulance Service but occasionally sparking alarm bells. The bulk of reports paint it as legitimate—callback confirmations for emergencies, mental health welfare checks, or updates on dispatched ambulances, all tied to the NHS framework. Yet a handful flag dodgy vibes, like unsolicited address requests or odd-hour rings to non-locals, hinting at possible spoofing by scammers. Always verify by hanging up and redialling the official NWAS line (111 or their listed number) instead of sharing details. If it's a welfare or emergency follow-up, answer promptly; otherwise, block and report suspicious patterns to Action Fraud. Trust your gut—better safe than sorry in these uncertain calls.

I received multiple calls, four in quick succession, claiming an ambulance was on its way and asking for my name and postcode – I declined, as it seemed highly suspicious.
When a member of the public suffered a serious fall, I dialed 999 and the NW Ambulance responded.
A 5 am ring jolted me awake, even though I’m not based in the North West, so I have no clue why they dialled.

Much appreciated.
A call appeared from this number, but it was spoofed; callers can mask any ID. When uncertain, avoid opening the door and hang up.

Unwanted automated calls that are clearly bogus.

Regarding NHS – some people are terrible. They ought to read a few pages on this site before complaining about a number. If the NHS dials the wrong number, politely inform them; someone could be waiting for that call, potentially in a life‑threatening situation.
We received two calls today (05/01/23) in the early hours at 02:40 and 02:41, but no voicemail was left, leaving the purpose unclear.
