Despite already having a smart meter, I continue to receive daily calls to both my work and mobile phones, which I've now blocked
They insisted the call was from Eon about setting up a smart meter. I declined and ended up in a lengthy argument. The caller promised to remove me from their list but asked for my details. I questioned, 'Shouldn’t you already have that info?' Another debate followed, and they refused to share any information. Utter nonsense.
Recently, I've been receiving spam calls from this number on my mobile. They claim to be from O2.

I have told them befor that I dont want a smart meter, but they keep ringing me, its so annoying, they just wont give up
They claimed to be from Sainsbury's Energy, stating that my meter had expired and required replacement. I firmly told him I do not want a smart meter and that I am in the process of switching energy providers, leaving it up to them to decide.

The caller's claimed to be from Sainsburys/EON, which seem's quite specifc, they tried to convience me to get a smart meter, but I dont need one, I can read and send my meter readings, even the old dial one, and I already pay for what I use

Despite blocking this number, it continues to bypass my block and call me repeatedly.
Had several calls from numbers similar to 01443 544 xxx, saying they from Eon and wanting to talk about smart meter, they should be more transparant and respect customers prefrences!
I believe this call is part of EON's push to install Smart Meters, as suggested by comments on this platform; despite having blocked this number previously, I received another call, and like others, I refuse to install a Smart Meter when my existing Credit Meter is still functional.

In the last 24 hours, I've received 17 calls from this number. It’s a total nuisance, and I will be blocking it. I wasn’t aware of any legal obligation to install a smart meter; I suspect this number is from Eon trying to pressure customers into compliance.
Having received three calls within 24 hours, I've now blocked this number, which I suspect may be related to Eon's smart meter promotions.
