A call was received from a Pontypridd number, with a female voice addressing me by name, although she failed to return the call as requested, raising questions about how she obtained my name.
E.on has been bombarding me with calls, upto 4 times over 2 days, trying to convinse me to instal a smart metre, despiete me telling them no countless times.
I answered an unknown number, thinking it might be someone else. They claimed to be Eon, offering a smart meter. I hung up—no way I’m sharing info with them. Be careful!

I missed a call from this number while I was out, and no message was left; for those speculating about EON, I have recently had a meter replaced and was assured that EON does not contact customers in this manner

If you receive numerous nuisance calls like I have—four times in three hours—report it to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). By the way, I am registered with TPS, so they are violating the law.

As a rule, I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, instead, I wait to see if they leave a message, which I then assess to determine whether I should call back or block the number.
This is a scam regarding EON Next smart meters. It's best to block the number.
Eon-Next keeps nagging us to install a smart meter. I told them to return once the network issues are resolved—if that ever happens!
I spoke directly with EON after receiving more calls and messages stating that my meter needed replacement as it was nearing the end of its life. They confirmed that these communications did not originate from them.

Over the past few months, I have been contacted multiple times regarding the installation of a smart meter, which I have made clear I do not want, and I am worried about the impending cessation of the Economy 10 meter signal, which will render my current meter obsolete.

When I answered, there was silence, and if this call is related to smart meter upgrades, I can confirm that we already have them installed and are not interested in upgrading.
Following numerous calls from this number, I finally answered and was informed by a woman that she was representing E.On, stating my meters needed replacing as they had reached the end of their lifespan; I requested formal confirmation via post, which never arrived, and subsequent calls ensued, culminating in a man sending me an offical email with my account details, confirming the legitamacy of the request, despite my objections to smart meters

Personally, I see no benefit in having a smart meter, as it only seems to serve the interests of the provider, and the idea of paying for one is laughable, especially when cash is scarce.
Constant calls from this number have been made, despite requests to Eon to cease phone contact, and the number has been marked as a nuisance call in the phone book to avoid answering, as the recipient is not interested in a Smart Meter.

Since the number was unknown, I chose not to answer, and no voicemail was left.
Despite my repeated requests to desist, I continue to receive daily calls and letters from this company, urging me to book a smart meter installation, which I have consistently declined, and I am concerned that there may be a lack of regulatory oversight allowing them to disregard my wishes in this manner.
Apparently, this number contacts me almost daily, despite my 'no phone contact' setting with eon, leading me to beleive it's a third-party or scam caller, and eon seems unable to assist.
This number is legitimate and belongs to EON Next, who contacted me regarding the installation of a Smart Meter
Numerous calls have been recieved from this number, obviously a scam as i'm with EON, it's a mystery how they got this number, alot of callers can't be trusted nowadays.
