Scam alert: Opus debt collection harassment - +44 141 428 3990 (0141 428 3990)

Obviously spam; you could waste their time by calling back during free moments, putting them on hold with excuses, or asking pointless questions without giving details.

These fraudsters pretended to be legitimate debt collectors; I have no debt at all, so anyone not vigilant could be easily duped!

A letter arrived on 01/02/2005 claiming I owe money to Lloyds Bank, although I've never had an account with them; I've emailed them for proof and warned that I will forward all details to the fraud department.

It's clear that these scammers should be stopped, and if the government won't take action, perhaps someone like Trump will help them pack their bags and send them home, goodbye to 01414283990

I got an SMS from OPOS telling me to call and quote ref: OP … I ignored it and blocked the number. Since then they ring almost daily, sometimes twice, but my phone stays silent and no voicemail is left. Clearly a scam!

I received a letter stating a Provident debt of £200 had been transferred to them, offering to halve it to £100 if paid in full (how generous!). The letter included this phone number. When I called, I gave no personal details, told them I recognised them as scammers and would not pay. I've never had a Provident loan, and the letterhead was pixelated—clearly fraudulent.

It's a complete scam – I never held an account with HSBC, definatly not.

After a quick Google the firm appeared legitimate, yet I was uneasy because the bank they mentioned was one I’d never used, and the caller immediately demanded the reference, full name, DOB and NI number – far too suspicious.

After searching online, the company appeard to be legitamate but I still had my doubts, firstly because they claimed I owed money to a bank I've never been with and secondly, the person on the phone asked for my reference number, full name, DOB, and NI number all at once, which seemed extreemly suspisious

A recorded message asked me to take note of a reference number, and to either call back or hold for a operator, but i ended the call
