They rang twice and cut off the call immediately both time

Opinione dell’esperto
This number, +441403546132, appears to be associated with the RSPCA, reaching out to existing donors to request increased contributions. While many users believe the calls are legitimate, others have reported experiences that raise suspicion, such as hang-ups and vague voicemail messages. Some have even labelled it a scam, despite confirmation from the RSPCA that they utilise third-party companies for these calls. If you receive a call from this number, it's wise to be cautious. Do not share personal information and consider blocking the number if the calls become intrusive. Always verify directly with the charity if in doubt.

After returning a call from an unrecognised number, a recorded message was heard, stating that someone would be in touch soon, without identifying the caller
After I said hello, the man on the other end said good evening and then hung up abruptly
A caller claiming to be Angela from the RSPCA referenced a previous call last night at 7.45 pm and kept urging me to listen. I ended the conversation. No reports appeared last night, yet several show up today, suggesting someone has accessed RSPCA supporters' numbers. If it truly were the RSPCA, the approach was poor; more likely another charity scam.
Received a call from 01403546133 claiming to be the RSPCA; they knew my name and donation amount, demanded more, and cut me off. SCAM!!!
Never hand over cash to an unsolicited caller! Even if the number looks legit, the person behind it may not be. Scammers can spoof numbers, often from abroad. Donate to charities via their official websites and use Gift Aid instead of cold‑calling.
I feel quite exposed because they phone repeatedly
Could this be the RSPCA?
Received several unanswered calls from this number lately, so I rang up the R.S.P.C.A. earlier to get the lowdown. It's an external firm named Angel acting for the R.S.P.C.A., thus IF THE NUMBER ISN'T SPOOFED—which is possible for any line—these are legit calls. That said, as some have pointed out, they're quite insistent, and it'd be great if you rang back rather than just hearing a voicemail apologising for missing you and promising another try.
Suspect it's a scam. I've supported RSPCA for ages but requested no calls, and they usually respect that.
As a regular donor to the R.S.P.C.A., I have been receiving calls that I suspect may be genuine, although the possibility of spoofing cannot be ruled out.
This number is safe, it's Angel from the RSPCA, they are legitamate and do good work
This is not a scam. It's the RSPCA reaching out to existing donors about increasing monthly donations to help animals in need due to neglect. As a dog owner, I understand the high cost of veterinary care. If people took more responsibility for animal welfare, charities wouldn't need to ask for more funds. Rainbow Telecoms has partnered with the RSPCA, matching every extra pound donated. The call comes from RSPCA HQ in Horsham, West Sussex. Consider listening for 6 minutes before deciding; that way, you won't be called again.
This is a legitimate third-party company working on behalf of charities to upsell existing donors. Although it's a genuine call from reputable organisations, they can be quite persistent. I've marked it as 'neutral' instead of 'harassing' because, while it's a fair use of donor data, it's still an unsolicited sales call.
I missed the first call, whilst I was driving, then acidently called them back, and a women said she was from the RSPCA, but I dont beleive it, I've blocked the number now
Ignored an unrecognised number +44 1403 546132 and called back. A recorded message thanked me for returning the call but didn't identify the caller. They mentioned someone would contact me again soon. Goodbye.
Avoid picking up this call—it's a scam.
If they were genuine, they would have left a message, so I'm just going to ignore it
Apparently, this number seems legimitate as I contacted the RSPCA directly and they informed me that they utilise a third-party company named Angel to make outbound calls on their behalf, originating from a 01403 number.
I have received calls from this number over the past few days. When I call back, no identity is given. A woman later asked to verify my name; I told her she needed to state who she represented. She claimed data‑protection reasons required confirmation first, which I refused. Later, a more polished scammer claimed to be running a campaign for the RSPCA in Wales and apologised for the earlier dummy call. I asked them to call back later as I was busy – clearly a scam.
This number has been calling me over the past few days. When I called back, there was no identification. A girl then asked to confirm my name. I insisted she reveal who she was first, citing data protection. She refused, and later, a more experienced scammer called, claiming to be from the RSPCA in Wales and apologising for the previous caller. I asked them to call back, but it’s clearly a scam.
I was contacted by the RSPCA asking for additional donations, even though I’m already a contributor.
They quoted a lengthy script from a computer screen, despite me already donating, and pressed for more money. If I don’t answer, they call repeatedly.
Marked as an RSPCA scam and blocked the line.
Got a call from this number, they was asking for more donations to the rspca, but i'm already a donor, bit suspicous
Upon answering, I was subjected to a lengthy, pre-rehearsed speech from an RSPCA representative, despite already being a donor, and they continued to call repeatedly when I didn't respond.
This number is a Rspca scam, so I've blocked it to avoid any furthur hassle.
I beleive this is a scam call, they ring every day, claiming to be from the RSPCA, asking for more money
After answering and saying 'hello', the caller hung up, and has since called multiple times, prompting me to block the number.
The caller's behaviour has been consistent, answering with a hello before promptly hanging up, a pattern repeated over several calls
