Flagged as suspicious by my BT system, I decided to answer the call to gather more information and potentially block the number. A person claiming to be English, named Sam, stated they were targeting individuals in my area who required personal alert alarms, but seemed evasive when I asked for specifics. The conversation appeared to be controlled by an AI system, and I was cautious as I knew it was likely a scam. What's concerning is how they obtained my ex-directory number. It's essential to be vigilant, as this scam appears to be sophisticated and could target vulnerable individuals.
