Just got a robo‑call that sounded like an energy scam – the voice was too smooth, probably AI. Might be an AI firm testing call‑answer software rather than an actual supplier. Either way, flood the MPs and hold the telcos to account. Stay clear of this number and similar ones like 01288 444 021. No worries.

Calls from this number often start with eerie silence or slick pitches about energy deals, leaving callers unsettled and wary. Reports highlight a pattern of persistent harassment, from silent hang-ups to aggressive pushes on windows, doors, or solar scams. AI-generated voices seem to drive many interactions, mimicking advisors to extract details or record responses for deeper fraud. This lot won't back off easily, switching tactics weekly to wear you down. Block the number immediately, never engage verbally, and report to your telecom provider or Action Fraud. Flooding MPs with complaints could push for better protections—stay vigilant and keep personal info locked tight.

Calls that ring silently just to irritate; they drop mute voicemails that you must manually delete.
When I picked up, there was only silence before they hung up – clearly dodgy.
When I picked up the call, no one spoke, so I ended it.
Appears to be a “Local energy advisor” scam...

Same individual using a different name – last week an energy scam, this week a windows and doors scam. He refuses to accept a ‘no’, talks over you, and is highly dangerous and abusive.
On 23 July 2025 I answered a call at 09:15 am, there was no voicemail left, so I blocked the number straight away. No drama, ta.
Got an AI‑generated call pushing a solar‑energy scam. Bit of a laugh, honestly, no worries.
The phone rang, I missed it, and a silent voicemail was left—more scammers, now blocked.
I keep receiving scam calls with forged caller IDs that don’t exist, added to my blocked list among hundreds used over the past years. They ring every few days, sometimes several times a day. Best to stay silent when answering, as they can record your voice, employ AI to mimic it, and attempt fraud on other users or breach password recovery on sites that accept voice as authentication.
