"Providing our companies house number proves we’re legitimate." As if being registered with the government automatically means you’re trustworthy—what a joke. I wasted their time by asking simple questions about the warranty details for my washing machine, which they couldn’t answer. They looked baffled when I pointed out that reputable companies would have all the necessary information. They suggested mailing a quote, but I wasn’t interested. It’s unfortunate because the person I spoke to was courteous, but that’s probably part of their strategy to deceive unsuspecting individuals.

They contacted me, using my personal information, to arrange a direct debit for washing machine aftercare. The man was polite, but I requested written confirmation. He insisted they could only proceed if I provided my account details over the phone, as per company policy. I declined, and we ended the call politely.
Unknown numbers get ignored, so I checked here first and blocked it.

The caller claimed to have knowledge of my address and informed me that my washing machine warranty was nearing expiration, despite the fact that I had never purchased such a warranty - it was actually my husband who had done so years ago, a clear indication of scammer activity.
Following a return call, the recipient answered with an informal greeting, claiming to have obtained my details from a national database, which raised concerns, especially since they were aware of my home address.
