Is Appliance Care a real service or a spoof? - +44 1267 645301 (01267 645301)
Summary — +441267645301
Expert Opinion
Repeated patterns emerge across the reports, indicating the number is predominantly linked to washing‑machine warranty scams. Callers frequently claim expired insurance, use spoofed local numbers and provide no message before hanging up. To stay safe, never share personal data or payment details with unsolicited callers. Use your phone’s built‑in block feature or a reputable call‑blocking app, and report the number to your network provider and to a recognised scam‑watch website. If you truly have a warranty, verify it directly with the manufacturer using contact details from official paperwork, not the phone number that called you.

Another scam call about my washing machine insurance expiring. Again!
Fortunately, I missed the call from this number, and upon checking this website, I am relieved to have avoided a potentially unnecessary and time-consuming conversation. This website has proven to be a valuable resource in helping me verify the legitimacy of unknown numbers.
A representative from Appliance Care allegedly contacted me, stating that our washing machine warranty insurance had expired, which was surprising since we never had such insurance; when asked for the company's address, she provided a Leeds postcode, but the call originated from a Welsh number, raising suspicions of a scam.

Received an unsolicited call from a woman with a South Asian accent who claimed her name was 'Nancy'. She mentioned that she was contacting me regarding the warranty on my washing machine, asking if it had expired. When I probed about the type of machine, she awkwardly said 'Ummm, a Hotpoint'. I have never owned a Hotpoint washing machine. Her name isn't 'Nancy'. This call is from a spam and scam operation in South Asia using spoofed UK landline numbers. She is fishing for your personal information, especially payment details. Best to ignore, hang up, and block.
A woman inquired about the previous owner and mentioned an expired washing machine warranty; the call ended with me blocking the number.
