Ever wondered why that unsolicited call about your TV insurance feels off? These persistent nuisances from this number are classic scam tactics, often involving fake renewals for non-existent policies on household items like televisions. Callers, typically with accents suggesting they're abroad, know personal details to build false trust, then push for bank info or direct debits. Reports highlight aggressive follow-ups, silent hang-ups, and rude behaviour when challenged. Block the number immediately via your phone settings or carrier. Register with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) to cut down on such calls. If they persist, report to Action Fraud—don't engage or share details, as it only encourages them. Stay vigilant; genuine firms never demand payment over the phone like this.

Claimed I qualified for 50% off my TV insurance renewal because I'm claim-free. Wanted my debit card info confirmed. I called her a scammer and insisted on written details; she had my address and pressed for the card's expiry. Blocked the number now.
Rang this afternoon; woman named Jamie, knew our details. Went on about our policy lapsing and needing fresh bank setup for direct debit. Questioned her on which policy and the date (we knew it was bogus), she pushed once more, then I said stop calling. TPS is useless – we get three daily.
Fraud.
Claimed the care plan for a "colour TV" had expired – unsure if different TV types remain covered! Should've mentioned we stick to black and white for a potential discount.
Yet another fraud attempt, sorted and blocked now.
Terminated the conversation, added to block list and removed.
Shockingly, a woman with a British accent claimed to be from Homecare Services, saying my free two-year TV policy expired and offering half price for three years. She even gave a policy number and mentioned £180 debit! I warned her I'd report any bank hit since the TV's from eBay with no cover. Called her out as a scammer and to quit ringing – she scarpered! Pure scam, dodgy as hell.
Claiming to be Home Care Services offering a 50% discount since I made no claims—scammers.
A woman with an Indian accent addressed me by name, but when I asked for her identity, she seemed perplexed. She insisted it was urgent and that she needed to confirm who she was speaking to. I retorted that I also needed to know who I was talking to, and she mentioned Homecare before I told her to leave me alone.
The number was listed as being from out of area, and since no message was left, I assume it was a scam.
I spoke to a very rude man, who didnt know who he was talking to, and got my name compleatly wrong, so I just said goodbye
Fraudulent number
At around 10:30am on February 26th, I received a call. The caller knew my name and address without me providing them. She then began speaking in an Indian language, which I couldn’t understand. After listening for a while, I hung up.
The caller knew my name, but with the TV on, I couldn’t hear her clearly. When I asked her to repeat, she hung up. She had an Indian accent.
This number has been used for a home care scam, attempting to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
Identified as a hazardous scam, I informed the caller to cease contacting me immediately.
This number keeps calling every hour. When I answer, no one speaks, so I hang up. Must be scammers.
This was an unwanted call,

This is a scam with a foreign accent.
The caller stated that an insurance policy for a TV was up for renewal.
